Why Clyde Iron Works is the Premier Duluth Event Venue for Weddings, Parties, and Corporate Gatherings
When people ask me what makes Clyde Iron Works a great place to host an event, I usually start by talking about the building itself. This space has been part of Duluth’s history for over a hundred years. It started as a steel manufacturing plant, and we’ve worked hard to keep that history visible in the bones of the building. The steel beams, exposed brick, and wide-open layout give it a look and feel that you just do not find in most venues.
But what really matters to me is how the space works for people today. I have seen this building used for weddings, retirement parties, fundraisers, conferences, and holiday events. Every time, it feels a little different, because we adapt the space to fit what people need.
Hosting Weddings, Company Parties, and Everything In Between
One of my favorite things about working here is watching a couple bring their wedding to life from start to finish. We host ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions all in one spot. It saves people the stress of moving around town, and it keeps the energy of the day intact. Our team helps set up, break down, and handle the details so couples can focus on celebrating.
For corporate events, we can flip the space to feel more professional. We have AV equipment, flexible seating, and a layout that works well for presentations, product launches, and networking events. If you are planning a meeting or retreat in Duluth, this is one of the few spaces that can scale up or down depending on what you need.
I also love seeing families and friend groups come together for birthdays, anniversaries, or community events. The space feels alive when people are here, and I take pride in making sure it runs smoothly from the first phone call to the last guest heading home.

In-House chefs That Keeps Things Simple
Food can make or break an event. That is why we have our own chef team right here in the building. Our kitchen is run by people who care about flavor, consistency, and quality. Whether it is a formal plated dinner or a buffet-style meal, we work with you to get the menu just right. We also do our best to accommodate dietary needs and custom requests. Having the catering team on-site keeps everything flowing and gives you one less thing to worry about.
Located in the trendy spot of Duluth
Another thing I love about Clyde is where we are. The Lincoln Park Craft District is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Duluth. We are surrounded by local businesses, breweries, and makers who are passionate about what they do. Your guests can grab a drink at Ursa Minor Brewing, check out Enger Lofts, or visit Bent Paddle Brewing Co. just a few blocks away. It makes the whole event feel more connected to the community.
How to Book with Us
We book out pretty far in advance, especially for weddings and larger events. I usually recommend reaching out at least six to twelve months ahead of time. You can schedule a walkthrough, talk through your ideas with our events team, and figure out if this is the right fit for your group. We are always happy to answer questions or help with planning.
